The collection consists of video and audio recordings of the program Modern art in Los Angeles: Okies go west, held on 23-24 January 2007 at the Getty Center. The 23 January group oral history interview of Jerry McMillan, Ed Ruscha, and Mason Wiliams, conducted by Andrew Perchuck and Rani Singh, includes a live acoustical performance by Mason Williams. The 24 January public panel discussion reunited the artists in a discussion of their transitions from Oklahoma to Los Angeles, their early careers, and the formation of an indigenous art scene in Los Angeles. It concluded with another performance by Mason Williams. Also included is a flyer for the 24 January event.
